The concept of Havenwood started in 2011 with Becky and Rob’s first retail store, Heirloom, in Claremont California. Fostering community via a creative environment that brings artists and makers together has been part of their mission from the beginning. In 2021, they finally realized their dream with the acquisition of a 1.5 acre home base in Running Springs, California.
Havenwood is a hub for all things creative, including an extensive schedule of workshops, movie nights, art festivals and live music events that aim to bring people of all ages together to explore, create and grow, inside and out.
Becky’s lifelong love of the arts and the creative process has led her to develop her own soap and candle line, t-shirt graphics and product designs that she offers at Havenwood’s retail shop. During winter months, she often welcomes visitors with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee while they wander through her on-site book store, vintage trailer and gift shop.
After a fifteen year career in the Southern California movie industry as a union lighting technician, Rob decided to apply his skillset to a whole new venture. He started Moonshine Lamp as a product offering at Heirloom, and soon established a custom design and fabrication enterprise online at Becky’s urging. Moonshine Lamp has grown from a single recycled bottle pendant lamp fixture to a full design and fabrication studio, featuring custom lighting made from wood, glass and steel that has been featured in hotels, restaurants and fine homes around the world.
Becky and Rob look forward to sharing their knowledge base through workshop offerings and bringing people together through events as they grow Havenwood into a San Bernardino destination for years to come.
